There are so many reasons behind the downfall to a website, but I am going to show you only 3 shocking reasons why your websites fail, the rest won't matter. Here we go:
Shocking reason#1, No call to action:
What’s the first action you want visitors to take when they land to your page?
Here are some easy ways to make the call to action:
A. Have an attractive button that will take your visitors to the place where you want them to be.
B. Direct users with button until they reach to the desired page
C. Don't overdo it, it should be very simple
"Call me" "Appointment", "download" "free quote" etc
Shocking reason#2, Too much information.
How would you feel if you go to buy coffee and seller stars to talk about origin of the coffee instead of the price and amount?
Obviously bad! Same thing goes with your website. We put too much information "above the fold" with different colors and images, getting visitors to see everything all at the same time. So what you can do now:
A. The most important information goes to the top, from left to right.
B. Limited use of images let the image complement your information rather than decoration.
C. Keep sentences short and simple. We are always busy.
Shocking reason#3, No professional feeling:
Everyone on the Internet can build a website. Unfortunately mostly people will be able to pull off a website that will have to professional and business value. Developers and designers available on Internet all are technical people they have never been in business schools so expecting them to come up with a website that will serve your business value is not a good thing. So how can you solve this problem?
A. Find firms and agencies that put more focus on serving business needs rather than a beautiful website.
B. Never talk to developers, if you do you will regard later. Developers will ask you questions that are technical and you will feel like not knowing web technology term is a sin if you are an entrepreneur.
C. Contact a project manager who understand entrepreneurs and web technology side by side.
